Terms of Service

Last updated: March 30, 2026

These are the terms that govern your use of thefutureparty.org. They are written in plain English because we believe the practice of making legal documents deliberately unreadable is itself a form of institutional failure.

What This Site Is

This website is operated by The Future Party PAC, an independent political action committee registered in Idaho. The site publishes our political platform, policy analysis, candidate resources, and donation infrastructure.

Paid for by The Future Party PAC. Not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee.

Using This Site

You can read anything on this site without creating an account, providing any personal information, or agreeing to anything beyond these terms. Browsing is free and anonymous.

When you submit forms (contact, donation, newsletter), you provide information voluntarily. What happens with that information is described in our Privacy Policy.

Donations

Donations to The Future Party PAC are political contributions, not charitable donations. They are not tax-deductible.

By making a donation, you affirm that:

You are a United States citizen or lawful permanent resident. Federal law (52 USC §30121) prohibits contributions from foreign nationals. This is not optional. If you are not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, you cannot donate. Period.

The contribution is made from your own funds and is not provided by another person or entity. You are not making this contribution on behalf of a corporation, labor organization, or other prohibited source.

You understand that your name, address, occupation, and employer will be collected and reported to the Idaho Secretary of State as required by Idaho campaign finance law (Idaho Code §67-6606). For aggregate contributions over $50 in a calendar year, this information becomes part of the public record. For aggregate contributions over $200, it is also reported to the Federal Election Commission.

You understand that your donation amount and display name (or "Anonymous" if applicable) will appear on the public donation ledger.

Donations are processed by Stripe and are subject to Stripe's terms of service.

Refunds are processed at the PAC's discretion. If a refund is issued, it appears as a negative entry on the public ledger. Nothing is hidden.

Content

All content on this site, including the platform document, articles on The Signal, and all code, design, and copy, is the property of The Future Party PAC unless otherwise noted. All rights reserved.

You are free to quote, excerpt, and link to any content on this site for purposes of commentary, criticism, news reporting, education, or political discussion. Attribution is appreciated but not legally required for fair use.

You may not republish entire articles or the platform document without permission. You may not use our name, logo, or branding to imply endorsement of your products, services, or candidacy without written authorization.

The Public Ledger

The donation ledger at /donate/ledger is a public, append-only, cryptographically chained record. Data published to the ledger cannot be edited or deleted. This is by design. The chain verification endpoint at /api/verify-chain returns the full ledger as JSON for independent verification.

By donating, you consent to the publication of your donation amount and display name on this ledger. If your cumulative donations reach $50, Idaho law requires disclosure of your name regardless of your display preference.

Newsletter

By subscribing to the newsletter, you consent to receiving emails from The Future Party PAC. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email or emailing contact@thefutureparty.org. We comply with CAN-SPAM.

Accuracy

We make every effort to ensure the information on this site is accurate. The Signal articles cite specific statutes, bill numbers, vote counts, and data sources. If we get something wrong, we correct it and note the correction.

However, this site is not legal advice. It is not tax advice. It is not financial advice. If you are filing to run for office, consult the Idaho Secretary of State's office or an attorney. We publish guides. We are not your lawyer.

Prohibited Uses

Do not use this site to submit false information, attempt to inject malicious code, overwhelm our infrastructure with automated requests, or impersonate another person in a donation or form submission. Submitting a false U.S. person attestation to circumvent the foreign national prohibition is a federal crime.

No Warranties

This site is provided as-is. We do not guarantee uptime, availability, or uninterrupted access. We do not guarantee that the site is free of errors. We are a volunteer-driven PAC, not a Fortune 500 company. We will fix things when they break.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Future Party PAC and its officers, volunteers, and contributors are not liable for any damages arising from your use of this site, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages. This includes any errors in published content, any disruption of services, and any unauthorized access to your data resulting from a security breach, though we commit in our Privacy Policy to notifying you within 72 hours if that happens.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ada County, Idaho.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
